CIPS/QM LP JV was awarded the demolition of 15 buildings at the Rocky Point Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot (CFAD), CFB Esquimalt located in Victoria, British Columbia. The project includes moderate risk abatement of over 1000 LF of corrugated asbestos paneling which makes up the exterior cladding of ‘cleanways’ or tunnels connecting the various building used to store live ammunition. Prior to demolition of the 15 concrete storage buildings, CIPS / QM LP JV will perform moderate risk abatement of all asbestos-containing materials and other hazardous building materials. Due to the wildlife, environmental protection, access and construction of the buildings, CIPS / QM LP JV will utilize our industry-leading experience to deconstruct the buildings using a combination of manual and mechanical deconstruction in a manner that is effective and still the least impactful to the surrounding environment.

CIPS/QM LP JV was awarded the mould remediation and lead-based paint abatement in building 24, also known as the Warrant’s and Sargent’s mess, a two-story, multi-use building located at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Trenton. The work area was located in the basement which formerly housed an indoor swimming pool along with two other large adjacent storage rooms.  The project included Class 1 removal of all loose and flaky lead-based paint from the walls & ceilings throughout these areas and at the same time perform a Level 3 full containment mould remediation operation. The remainder of the building remained occupied at the time.

CIPS/QM LP JV was awarded the hazardous materials abatement and demolition of 3 buildings at CFB Suffield located in Alberta, Canada. The project included mechanical demolition of two 500 SF buildings and one 400 SF building which included slab and footing demolition. Following the demolition of the buildings, CIPS / QM LP JV restored the building location through backfill, topsoil and native seeding.

CIPS/QM LP JV was awarded the demolition of 5 buildings at the CFB Cold Lake site located in Alberta, Canada. CIPS / QM LP JV provided a turnkey service for hazardous materials abatement and demolition services. The project included abatement of all asbestos and hazardous materials within the buildings prior to demolition. The abatement included moderate risk and high-risk removal of vinyl floor tiles, vinyl sheet flooring, roofing and mechanical insulation. Following abatement, mechanical demolition of the concrete buildings was successfully completed.
